If it is necessary to hide an open wavy edge on a laminated cardboard in order to improve presentation of a product, we suggest paying attention to gluing the cardboard – slim-backing.
This method of post-printing processing means that two sheets of cardboard (liner) that are almost identical in characteristics are pressed one to another. In this case, materials may be offset sealed,in advance which improves a product’s presentation. In addition, cardboard is often backed this way if it is necessary to print an image on both sides of a product but tightness of a material isn’t appropriate for doing this.
In all other respects, the technology of slim-backing does not differ from the usual paper lamination or corrugated cardboard / micro-corrugated cardboard.
